Coach Ray Hradek and SportsTime Ohio’s Matt Underwood, Special Guest Conductors
The Berea-Midpark Marching Band played to a full auditorium Wednesday night as they presented their first ever Varsity Show. The Varsity show brought the Titan band into the comfort of the Berea-Midpark auditorium to perform all of the songs from this season’s marching shows.
Head Coach of the Berea-Midpark Titan Football Team, Ray Hradek, went “All In” as he conducted the band’s down-field number, “Swingin’ on Parade.” A few songs later, SportsTime Ohio broadcaster, Matt Underwood conducted Karmin’s “Brokenhearted.” Band director, Jeff Fudale invited Matt’s son Max, a sophomore melaphone player from the Avon Lake Marching Band, to join him on stage to review his dad’s conducting performance. Max gave his dad a marginal review.
Also appearing on stage were student teacher, Kirby Luscek conducting Paramore’s “Still Into You” and tuba line instructor, John Chapman conducting The Doobie Brother’s “Long Train Runnin”.
The evening was also highlighted with a salute to the senior members of the band. Each senior was recognized and took their place at the front of the stage as the remaining members of the band played the Berea-Midpark Alma Mater.
The show was hosted by Berea-Midpark Director of Bands, Jeff Fudale and Assistant Director of Bands, Dan Barth.
