Dear Band Members and Parents:
Although the school year has just ended, it is never too soon to start thinking about the upcoming dynamic Berea-Midpark TITAN Marching Band Season! Exciting music has been chosen, and arranged, and we will continue to present variety and enthusiasm in all our shows. The staff will be working hard this summer to prepare for the upcoming season.
We certainly hope that all the students will practice this summer!! It is imperative that everyone be present for marching band camp with their music learned!!!!
Our summer will begin with uniform fittings on Tuesday, July 30th. This is a four day process scheduled by class and last name. Please see the Uniform Distribution Schedule (Click Here) for the time of your fitting. PLEASE stick to this schedule.
We will begin summer evening marching band rehearsals (Band Camp) on Monday, August 5, 2018 from 5:00PM – 9:00PM. Please see the 2018-19 Band Schedule (Click Here) for rehearsal dates and times. No rehearsals are scheduled on Saturday or Sunday evenings.
During Band Camp there are two special events:
- Wed, August 7th – Band Picture Day. Please report to the band room at 2:45pm. Dress for evening rehearsal but BRING YOUR UNIFORM WITH YOU. Evening rehearsal will immediately follow.
- Mon, August 19th – Performance for the Opening of School (TENTATIVE). This is a closed performance for teachers at 7:30am at Berea-Midpark Middle School. A marching band rehearsal will take place immediately following from 9:00-11:00am.
Tuesday, August 20th, begins the regular season evening rehearsal schedule. Students should set aside Tuesday’s from 6:30PM to 9:00PM for evening rehearsal. Please note that there are two weeks where the band will rehearse on Thursday instead of Tuesday. It is the student’s responsibility to be available on these dates.
STUDENTS ARE TO CONTACT MR. FUDALE IF THERE IS ANY REASON FOR MISSING A REHEARSAL. STUDENTS MUST PARTICIPATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE AND ANY APPLICABLE ADDITIONS. IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT, AND YOUR PRIORITIES DIFFER, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BAND. THIS INCLUDES THE MEMORIAL DAY PARADES IN BEREA AND/OR BROOK PARK – IF APPLICABLE. In the event of any changes to the band schedule, the student will be notified as early as possible.
Information regarding the grading procedures can be found by clicking here as is a contract to be read and signed by both Parent/Guardian and Student (Click Here). The band contract and other documents (Conduct Insurance Waiver / Field Trip Consent Form / Emergency Medical Authorization Form) and fees (payable by check, Money Order or by credit card through the band website), ARE TO BE BROUGHT IN ON UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION DAY.
Make all checks payable to: “Berea-Midpark Band Boosters” and be sure to include the student’s name on the check or website payment form.
